Team

Our core team is composed of our players and a founding team of three University of Notre Dame PhD students: Geoffrey Siwo, Ian Sander, and Victoria Lam.

Our players are drawn from very diverse fields and are of varying ages. You do not need to be a scientist, an engineer or an expert of any kind. Anyone can be part of the Fit2Cure team. All you need to do is play the game. You can also email us any ideas and suggestions at info@sayansia.com so that we can formally acknowledge your contributions. You can also like us at our Facebook page and follow our progress together with other players.

Geoffrey brings to the team experience in computational modeling of biological problems gained from various organizations including at IBM. His inspiration in starting Sayansia is driven by the growing demonstration of the collective wisdom of millions of humans solving tasks on the internet that have for year’s evaded mankind. He is actively participating in crowdsourcing efforts for modeling biological problems and recently led a winning team in the Dialogue for Reverse Engineering Assessments and Methods (DREAM)- an international biological modeling competition. He is also an IBM PhD Scholarship recipient.

Victoria brings on board communication and presentation skills acquired working with different teams in the University of Notre Dame. Victoria has a passion for entrepreneurship and has taken MBA entrepreneurship classes at Notre Dame.

Ian also brings to the team experience working in discovery pharmaceuticals at Procter & Gamble in structural biology. Ian’s Ph.D research at Notre Dame is in the field of protein folding, which has recently been on the front lines of collective intelligence citizen science applications.

Ian and Victoria both bring an enthusiasm for creating new products and services out of science.
